Sara was born August 14, 1940 in Ardmore, the daughter of the late Albert Francis Bettes, Jr., and Freda Minix Cunningham. She passed away on March 2, 2021 here in Ardmore.
She and Harold Ray Smith were married May 23, 1961 in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her death October 24, 2012. She was also preceded in death by their daughter Vickie Lynn Smith.
Sara managed J's Hallmark store for many years before retiring and managing her husband's construction business. She was a member of the New Hope Church of God.
She is survived by her children, Sheryl Massingill and husband Raymond; Deborah Smith; and Vance Smith; grandchildren, Kara Michelle Hilton and husband Brent; Joshua Adam Stewart; Shane Michael Kirk and wife Doloris; Christopher James Scott and wife Amanda Renee; Amanda Marie Upton and husband Billie; Susan Michelle Hilton and spouse Robin; Lorie, Shelly and Kenny Samples; 25 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.
