Linda Kay Jordan, age 70, of Quincy, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 6:18 am in Blessing Hospital.

Linda was born August 5, 1950 in Quincy, IL, a daughter of Rev. Albert M. "Andy" Sr. and Betty Crider Cartmill.

Linda was a 1968 graduate of Quincy High School. She had been employed by Davis Cleaver Super Produce Station, where she prepared packaged foods for Banquet. Linda also worked for Carson Pirie Scott & Co.as an elevator operator. She also spent a lot of her time caring for her nieces and nephews. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed watching game shows and baseball, and she was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed gambling trips to the casino and playing bingo. Linda was a devout member of Second Baptist Church, where she loved to sing. Linda's family will always remember her for her humorous personality.

Survivors include: eight siblings: Albert Cartmill, Jr. of Quincy; Gay (Richard) Allen of Bevier, MO; Randy (Robbie) Cartmill of Quincy; Tamara Cartmill of Champaign, IL; Marlene Groves of Quincy; Barbara (Bryan) Lewis of Quincy; Stacey (Dwayne) Wells of Godfrey, IL; and Cheri (Lonnie) Kerr of Quincy; her significant other, Richard Birdsell of Camp Point, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gregory Cartmill; a nephew, Terron Cartmill; and a daughter in infancy.

Services: 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Cartmill officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, IL

Visitation: 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Memorials: Second Baptist Church of Monroe City, MO.
