Actress. She was best known to film as Dr. Patricia Medford, the young scientist investigating giant, radiation-mutated ants in the 1954 sci-fi classic "Them!" She made her singing debut, while still in high school, as a member of the San Francisco Opera company chorus. While performing with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera, she was signed by Warner Brothers studio to a contract. She made her "big screen" debut in 1953 in the film "The System." Besides "Them!," she went on to appear in such films as "Deep in My Heart," (1954) "Gunsight Ridge," (1957) and "Day of the Badman." (1958) She also appeared on the "small screen" in such series as "The Millionaire," "Cheyenne," "Perry Mason," "Have Gun — Will Travel," and "Maverick." She also performed on the theatrical stage numerous times during her career.
