Jack died of Tuberculosis in a hotel in Bremen Township - a neighborhood of Oak Park.
He was known as Jack - but he also used "Clarence" on several documents. It is said he was his own informant on his death information and it says "John" - or was it because the funeral home thought his real name was John? It will be interesting to see what his tombstone says.

He married Mathilde Marie CHAMPAGNE (1896 - 1931) in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana on Oct 15, 1915, and had one son with her, Jack Lloyd Winston. Their marriage dissolved at some point and Jack C.H. Winston was alone in Illinois when he died.
