Carolyn Louise Clyburn Armstrong, age 66, passed away on March 3, 2021. She was born on August 25, 1954 in New Orleans, LA to Willie and Vivian Clyburn. Carolyn was employed 20 years for the USDA Cotton Division. Carolyn married her husband, Edward C. Armstrong III, of almost 20 years on October 3, 2001.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends. Carolyn loved bringing a smile to others with her great sense of humor. She definitely was the funny one in the family. She was a talented singer and sung in the Church Praise Band, taught singles, was head of the Church Drama Team and was always willing to help where it was needed.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Louise Clyburn. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband and partner in life, Ed Armstrong; her daughters, Shaye Armstrong and Melissa Bird; her sons, David Bradley Dear and Edward Armstrong IV and her father, Willie Clyburn (Jessie).

A Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
