Mrs Elizabeth Stomberg, Storm Lake, died at home, Sunday, of a short illness. Born Elizabeth Katherine Armbrust in Rockenhausen, Germany, 25 June 1835; died 25 April 1909, aged 76. Came to the US in 1853; married 1856 to John Baptist Sturchler (Bavaria, Germany) in Lincoln, Illinois; to Petersburg, Illinois, then to Pekin, Illinois. Husband died there February 1869; 6 children, 3 survivors; married again fall of 1870 to John Stomberg; to Beuna Vista County, 2 miles east of Alta in 1880. To Storm Lake in 1900; husband died there in 1901; 3 children of 2nd marriage, all surviving. Children: Mrs George Siebens, Storm Lake; Mrs JH Smith, Alta; John Sturchler, Madison, Wisconsin; Mrs HA Taylor of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs JP Rogers, Elberton, Washington; JB Stomberg, Alta, Iowa. 2 brothers: Henry Armbrust, Stockton, California; Jacob Armbrust, Bishopville, Illinois; 1 sister: Mrs Barbara Shaffer of Lakefield, Minnesota.
