Mrs. Janice Crews Riggins, 69, died suddenly Tuesday night (March 2, 2021) in Pierce County.

She was born in Waycross to the late J. B. Crews and Gussie Mae Lee Crews. Janice lived most of her life in Brantley County having been educated in the Brantley County School System. She retired from Blueberry Hill Restaurant as a waitress after 20 years of service, and she was formerly employed in the produce department of Piggly Wiggly Waycross for many years.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Windell Riggins; her son, Charles Anthony Riggins; and nephews, Eric Riggins and Trent Crews.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Lanie Ennis (husband Justin), Molly Oliver (husband Brock), and Colby Riggins all of Brantley County; eight great grandchildren, Trig Ennis, Tuck Ennis, Thatcher Ennis, Teller Ennis, Trip Ennis, Reese Oliver, Katie Riggins, and Gracie Riggins; two sisters, Angie McArthur (husband Kevin) of Brantley County, and Clara C. Tapley (husband Tommy) of Waycross; two brothers, Travis J. Crews (wife Dana) of Nahunta, and Jimmy Crews (wife Linda) of Brantley County; a special niece, Maggie McArthur Googe (husband Wesley) of McIntosh County; niece, Betsy Ward; four nephews, Taite Crews, Trey Tapley, Kipp McArthur and James Pruitt; and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (March 6, 2021) at Music Funeral Home.
