Julie Ann (Waggoner) Hawkins, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021. She had a career in nursing and was always filled with kindness for others. Julie was selfless and creative and could easily be described as a free spirit. Over the last few years Julie struggled with many health issues, but put up a good fight until the very end. She will be missed by many.

She was born on April 8, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Charles "Paul" and Betty (Jackel) Waggoner. Julie was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Issacson. She is survived by her daughter, Lyric Hawkins (Michael Hemphill); grandchildren, Carma and Maudia Wickliffe; best friend, Lorita Hafley; and brother, Thomas "Dean" Waggoner.

Julie's wish was to be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Contributions in her memory may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
