Patty Pointer Anderson, 85, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at her home.

Patty was born December 19, 1935, the daughter of Lee V. and Letha (Pearson-Paxton) Pointer, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Patty was raised and educated in Crawfordsville, graduating from Crawfordsville High School in 1953. Patty married Clifford B. Scott Jr. on February 13, 1954 in Crawfordsville. They had four children, Dan, Jeri, Sam and Joe. They divorced after 13 years.

Patty later worked at North American Van Lines in Lafayette, Indiana, where she met Dale Anderson who was an over the road trucker.

Patty married Dale Anderson August 10, 1970. They made their home in Lafayette until June 1971 when they moved to Minot. They had a daughter together, Julie, in 1973. In this union Patty also gained six sons and another daughter who she helped to raise.

She worked part time at as a sub-secretary for Minot Public Schools and later in life helped open US Factory Outlets in Minot, becoming Store Manager for many years. When that store closed, she was managed the Dollar Store in True Value. She then worked 8 years as a Pharmacy Clerk for Trinity’s B&B Northwest Pharmacy in Minot before retiring at the age of 80 to take care of her husband, Dale.

Dale passed away on October 19, 2018. Patty was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 81, and Parkinson’s at the age of 83, and battled courageously until passing away at the age of 85. At her request Patty remained in her home under the loving care of her son, Dan.

Patty and her friend Heather Bogden were co-room mothers at Washington School, active in the PTA, worked with the Student Eye Test Program and the Brownies.

Her loving family includes:
children, Dan Scott, Minot, Jeri Scott, Florida, Sam Scott, Michigan, Joe Scott, Texas and Julie (Jason) Hintz, Burlington, ND; Jimmy (Beth) Anderson, Silverdale, WA, Jack (Jean) Anderson, Burlington, Jerry Anderson, Montana, Jeff (who preceded her in death) (Darla) Anderson, Morton, ND, Jay Anderson, Glenburn, ND, Jody (Pam) Anderson, Minot, Jan (David) Lishman, Texarkana, AR; 31 grandchildren 31 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Lee V. and Letha Pearson Pointer; husband of 49 years, Dale Anderson, Jeff Anderson, siblings, Herman Paxton, Helen Piper, Juanita Petro, Betty Roche, Austin Paxton, Jean Wilson and Janice Bailey.
