FORT WORTH - Barry Lynn Menting passed away March 2, 2021. He was born at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas on July 26, 1951.

He moved to Newfoundland, Canada then Bossier City, Louisiana. His family then moved to Fort Worth, Tx in 1964 where he remained within a 15 mile radius of his parents and siblings for the duration of his life. He graduated class of 1970 from Richland High School.

His hobbies were coin collecting, going to gun shows, listening to old rock and roll and country music, watching football (especially the Packers) working and tinkering on any and all things, along with mischievous adventures.

For those that really knew him, Barry had a big heart and was always helping others when they needed it the most. Including in the end where he was able to donate his organs to help others.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Joseph Menting; and his mother, Nina Shaw Menting; and his nephew, Brandon Yale; and his beloved dog, Shorty.

Barry was married for 37 years to Sandra Menting; he had a son, Eddie Menting, of Mansfield, Tx.; a daughter, Tammy Gill, of North Richland Hills, Tx.; a sister, Lisa Menting Yale (Craig),of Richland Hills,Tx.; a brother, Mark Menting (Rebecca), of North Richland Hills, Tx.; three granddaughters, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Taylor Menting of Arlington, Tx.; a niece, Amanda Menting Jessamine of Fort Worth, Tx.; a nephew, Daniel Menting of North Richland Hills, Tx.; and a host of other friends and relatives.
