TSGT (RET) Johnny Mac "John" Terry, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Born in Robeson County, Johnny is the son of the late Oscar and Martha Terry. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Carolyn L. Terry and sister, Joyce Smith.
Earning numerous medals and awards during his military career, Johnny served over 21 years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring in September of 1976.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha Terry Locklear and husband John; son, Jeff Terry and wife Trude; son, Steve Terry and wife Anne; grandchildren, Jessica Terry, Ashley Locklear, Lauren Blackburn and husband Justin, Kaitlin White and husband Doug, and Brandon Terry; great grandsons, Aiden Blackburn and Hudson White; and several other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery in Fayetteville.
Johnny was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
