Brenda Ruth Mitchell, 72, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2021 at Monongalia General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born April 29, 1948, in McCurdysville; a daughter of the late James Newton Mitchell and Opal (Kennedy) Mitchell.
Brenda worked for the Avenue Motel as a housekeeper. She enjoyed crafts, and square dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Brenda is survived by her four sons, Timothy Glover and his wife, (Louise) of Fairmont, Russell Glover and his wife, Angie of Indiana, Kevin Glover and his companion, Jennifer Black of Fairmont and Iran Glover of Fairmont; four daughters, Elizabeth Glover of McCurdysville, Sandra Graham and her husband, Robert “Bobby” of Baxter, Elise Patrick and her husband, Chuck of Fairmont and Wendy Morgan and her husband, Richard of Fairmont; ex-husband, Sonny Glover; 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marion Mitchell of McCurdysville, John Mitchell of Pennsylvania and Claude Mitchell of Fairmont; her sister, Ruby Glover of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Mitchell; her sister, Elsie Johnson; and two grandchildren.
