Gerald Henry "Jerry" Joyner passed away February 24, 2021 at his home. Jerry was born September 17, 1943, to John Henry and Annie Christine (nee Anderson) Joyner in Tipton County, Tennessee.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1962 – 1970. Jerry proudly served two tours in the Vietnam War as an airplane and helicopter mechanic. After his discharge, he owned/operated Jerry’s Marathon in Plymouth for many years.

He had previously married Patricia Antionette Harrell in 1970 and Pamela Peryl Hunsaker in 1978.

On December 31, 1994, Jerry married Carol Arndt in Tennessee. Jerry said he had searched a long time before he found his life partner. Jerry is survived by his wife, Carol; son, James (Lisa) Bennett; daughter, Lisa (Dave) Eifler; granddaughter: Betsy (Gregg) Burks; grandsons: Tom (Liz) Bennett, Jeff Eifler, and Matthew (Courtney) Eifler; brothers: Joe (Dee) Joyner and John (Pa) Joyner; sisters, Chris Rungen, Sandra Walker, and Linda Frost; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Patsy Joyner; sisters: Juanita Shirley, Cecilia Zimmerman, and Mary Inez Penrose.
