The beautiful, gentle soul of my husband, Michael Gibson, of Oak Park, MI was tragically and unexpectedly taken from us on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was only 48 years old. Michael was a dad first and foremost in life and husband; he was also a son, a brother and a friend to all who knew him. He was most generous with his time; as he could almost never say “no” to anyone. He was funny, charming, hardworking and had a love for the great outdoors. He took care of his family and loved them with all he had. His most favorite thing was taking our family on adventures. We never knew where we would end up, and he would say, “Sometimes the most fun is the ride to nowhere!” So many adventures and good times…. Born October 29, 1972, Michael grew up in Berkley, MI, where he played sports, had tons of friends and graduated from Berkley High School. In 1992, Michael enlisted in the Marines, where he served for 8 years. He then joined the Hagopian family and worked for them for the past 25 years. Michael was my person, my husband, my love and will be forever missed. He leaves behind, myself, his wife, Renee and our children, sons Greyson and Tanner, daughter Skyler, who were his whole heart and world. Michael is also survived by his parents Linda and Robert Gibson, his sisters, Dawn (Mike) Sorgatz and Lisa (Rich) Borella, his brother, Robert (Nicole) Gibson, mother-in-law, Darlene Hermann, brother-in-law, Derek Hermann, and all his beloved nieces and nephews; predeceased by his younger brother, Christopher Gibson. Michael was taken from us much too soon, and will forever leave a hole in many hearts, but will forever be my heart. We love you!
