John was the son of August Junkermeier and Augusta Jacobsmeier. He married Lena Blome on 14 Oct 1909 in Ledyard, Kossuth, Iowa. They were the parents of Nora Emma (1910-1998 CA). John married 2nd Lena Kramersmeier on 02 Jan 1914 in Grant, Kossuth, Iowa. They were the parents of Lena, Lewis, Evelyn, John, Venetta, Alfred, Dorothy, and Luella.

Storm Lake Register - July 24, 1951 - John Junkermeier, 64, a farmer living near Albert City passed away Sunday in a a hospital in Sioux City after an illness of several weeks.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, and 4 daughters.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon from the Lutheran church in Rembrandt. The body will remain in the Hughes Funeral home until time for the services.
