Dorothy A. Parker, 89, of Churubusco, passed away on Friday, February, 26, 2021 at Majestic Care of West Allen, Fort Wayne. Born October 19, 1931 in Elgin, Minn., she was a daughter of the late Martin and Elsie (Schmidt) Hasse.

A hard worker, Dorothy helped her daughter on the farm with horses in her earlier years and later retired from Magnavox after over 20 years of service. A woman of faith, she was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. An avid card player, she enjoyed playing Euchre with her friends and riding horses.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Parker of LaOtto, Ind., and Mary Shaw of Carterville, Mo.; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie (Edward) Traup of Washington.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil P. Parker; son, Gary Parker; three sisters; and eight brothers.

Funeral Service is 11:00 am on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 13733 Wesley Chapel Rd., Churubusco, Ind., with calling one hour prior. Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
