He was born Reginald Rodger Lewis in Niles, California to Frank and Agnes. His siblings: Jacqueline (1930–2015), Robert, Jeannette, Jeannine, William (1942–2017), Franklin, Brian (1956–2014)

Bodybuilder, Actor.
He was best known as one of actress Mae West's "beefcake" act that played in various parts of the country during the 1950s. He started in bodybuilding in his teens and won several awards including the Junior Mr. Olympics event and Mr. Pacific Coast. In 1954, he joined actress Mae West's "strongman" revue and went on to appear with them on stage in such places as Las Vegas and Los Angeles. He would go on to make frequent appearances alongside West on television and in theaters and nightclubs. In 1957, he won the Mr. Universe competition in 1957 and gained the attention of film studios. He later appeared in such films as "Colossus of the Stone Age," (1962) "The Brass Bottle," (1964) and "Don't Make Waves." (1967). In 1977, he appeared in Mae West's last film "Sextette." He continued in bodybuilding into the 1980s.
