He was an ordained minister and a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dayton H and L Jeanette Allen; brothers, Jerry Allen and Bob Allen; brother-in-law, Brice Ray; and nephew, Tim Ray. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carole Allen; sister, Judy Allen Ray; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eva and Paul Guidry; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sylvia Earley.
