Charles Allen Lytle (“Buzzy”), from Knoxville, Tennessee (February 6, 1944-March 1, 2021), died at home surrounded by family.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Lytle; children, Sam and Susan Lytle, and grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Lytle.

Buzzy was a UT graduate. After working and moving between Georgia and Tennessee, he was driven to be his own boss, and ultimately settled in Knoxville and operated National Electronics, a successful electronics retail and repair business in the Oak Ridge area for over 35 years. Buzzy was independent with a fighting spirit, but he was also fiercely loyal, protective, and always present for those he cared about. He possessed an ever-present smile and applied his own brand of humor throughout his journey.

There will be a celebration of life service for family and close friends at Fountain City United Methodist (212 Hotel Rd., Knoxville, 37918) on Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 PM. Please bring a mask and abide by the COVID-19 procedures of the Church. An invitation to gather outside at Fountain City Park (117 Hotel Rd.) will be extended after the service. The family would like to express their gratitude to the kindness shown to Buzzy by his friends and neighbors who were a constant source of support and love during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fountain City Ministry Center www.fcministry.org/volunteers.

Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Lytle family and invites you to view and sign the online registry.
