Wesley Kenneth Sanders, Jr., 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home.

He was of the Methodist faith and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

He had worked in the oil industry and a retiree of Walmart.

Mr. Sanders enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles.

He was born in Long Island, NY, to the late Wesley Kenneth Sanders, Sr., and Marie Berwind Sanders.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Dolores E. Sanders; siblings, Richard Sanders, David Sanders, and Barbra Long.

He is survived by his children, Scott Sanders and wife, Carol of Cleveland, Len Beasley and wife, Rana of Knoxville, and Karen Hiller and husband, Jack of Glenmore, PA; four grandchildren, Brooke Young, Erin Upshaw, Taylor Hiller, and Andrew Hiller; four great grandchildren, Ava Upshaw, Liam Young, Leighton Upshaw, and Aly Young; two brothers, Peter Sanders of Connecticut and John Sanders of Vermont; one sister, Lucy Juhasz of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Military honors and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
