Mary Fenley Underwood age 89 of Griffin passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Upson Regional Hospital.
Mary was born in Atco, Georgia on March 23, 1931. Her parents, Nathan Lofton Fenley and Georgia Elizabeth Hilton Fenley, husband Leon Underwood and infant son, Wayne Underwood, and Wade Underwood all preceded her in death.
She was retired from American Mills, member of The Rock Tabernacle. She was known for her sweet spirit, love for God and her family, love for her flower garden, and her soft, three finger biscuits.
Mrs. Mary survivors are son, David Riley Underwood; grandchildren, Kristin Viaggio, Carrie Smith, Katie Underwood, Caleb Underwood, Abigail Underwood, Elijah Underwood, Lily Underwood, and Adam Underwood’ 4 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Hickox; brother, Reverend Riley Fenley, Bobby Fenley; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at The Rock Tabernacle. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Riley Fenley and Reverend Mark Ward will officiate.
