Isabel Raycroft, beloved wife of Mr. Wm. Smithson, died at her home in Pakenham on Sunday September 18. She was born in Darling township 35 years ago, daughter of the late Mr. Wm. Raycroft and Mrs. Raycroft. Deceased was married in 1911 to William Smithson of Darling township. There remains to mourn her loss her husband and four children: Willie, age 15 years; Dorothy, age 13 years; Mildred, age 11 years, at home; Douglas, age 2 years with his aunt, Mrs. Bert Manary, Braeside. Also her mother, five sisters and two brothers, Christena, Mrs. Richard Evans, Pakenham; Elizabeth, Mrs. Orvial Peever, Arnprior; Theresa, Mrs. Bert Manary, Braeside; Ellen, Mrs. Warner Barry, White Lake; Maude. Arnprior; William, Arnprior; David, Braeside. The late Mrs. Smithson had been ailing for about four years. The funeral was held on Tuesday,. September 20th, from her late residence to the Pakenham cemetery and was largely attended by her friends and neighbours. Rev. Mr. H. H. Hillis preached a very fitting sermon, taking for his text Isaiah, 64th Chapter, 6th Verse.
