Paul Orvil Bennett, 94 of Midland, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, February 28, 2021 at Brian's House in Essexville. He was born December 9, 1926 in Attica, MI, son of the late George and Annette (Audion) Bennett. Paul attended school in Attica until he left to help his mother and tend to the family farm. He then enlisted in the United States Coast Guard as a Merchant Marine during World War II and was honorably discharged October 14, 1946.
Upon his return home, Paul began working for Wolverine Power at the Edenville Dam. He then went to work for Dow Corning as a Clerk until retiring after 33 years. Paul loved to work even after his official retirement. He was the owner of Bennet Rubber Stamps, drove courtesy vehicles for Avis Car Rental, and worked as a grocery bagger for Publix Super Market until he was 92.

Outside of work, Paul enjoyed baseball and softball, coaching and sponsoring traveling teams for many years. He also enjoyed spending half of the year in Florida with his wife, Lucille, whom he married in 1968. After years of traveling between Michigan and Florida, the two decided to move to Florida permanently. A few years after Lucille's death in 2015, Paul decided to move back to Midland to be closer to friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Sharon Keblbeck, Peg (Dan) Quinn, and Paula Draves; stepdaughter, Carrie Adamcik; grandchildren, John (Linda) Shaffer, Dean (Kelsey) Shaffer, Terry Shaffer, Mike (Tammy) Bennett, Trenton (Tara) Fowler, John (Jeanneen) Adamcik, Jeanette (Gary) Gaskill, Steve (Anne) Adamcik, and Sandy (Joe) Pace; very special friend, Dolores "Dot" Gaudard; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
