Kelly D. Carpenter, age 51 of Eddyville, formerly of Wickliffe, died at 2:50 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton. He was an honorably discharged Navy veteran, a member of the Disabled Veterans, American Legion Chapter 7 in Paducah, the VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) and Bethany Baptist Church in Lyon County. He is the son of Thomas Lee and Ginger Bogard Carpenter. Survivors include one brother Tommy Carpenter Jr. of Eddyville, three sisters Cara Lynn of LaCenter, KY, Joyia Carpenter of Paducah, Cindy Redford of Kuttawa and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Ballard County with Rev. Brian Griggs and Rev. James Holsapple officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon until 2:00 pm Sunday at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville.
