Georgia Rae Zimmerman Wilson

Georgia Rae Zimmerman Wilson passed away peacefully February 28, 2021, from an infection and sepsis. She is survived by her loving husband Merlin L Wilson, six of her seven sons, Danny (Jana) Kenneth (Tammy), Steven (Lisa), Rick (Jamie), Michael (LeAnna), and Jason (Nicole); her brothers, Val, Bruce (Helen), Howard (Vicki), Bill, Terry (Susan), and sister, Dora. She was proceeded in death by her father, Howard, mother, Loray, brothers, Francis, Sheldon, Orin, Stanley, and her son, Ronald Howard, his wife, Jenancy, and her daughter, Pricilla.

After being paralyzed from her chest down for fifteen years because of a fall, she lived optimistically and joyfully about life, in spite of many challenges. She endured countless hospitalizations and struggled with various sores and infections incident to her condition. She was a happy, outgoing person, with a deep and sincere love for others, and enjoyed many close friendships over the years. She was very involved in quilting and had numerous dear fellow quilters. She also enjoyed book club, collecting dolls and attending the Shakespeare festival in Cedar City. She had a strong testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from her youth and throughout her life, serving in many callings.

Georgia was born June 25, 1940, in Lehi, Utah, and grew up in Orem. She and Merlin were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on May 9, 1958, and raised their seven sons primarily in Orem and Pleasant Grove. She lived her final years in Fountain Green, Utah, with many pleasant days enjoyed with her beloved husband, in spite of challenges due to her physical difficulties.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband and sons, 33 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and her surviving brothers and sister and their families.

The funeral will be held Friday March 5, 2021 at 11:00 am with a viewing 9:30-10:30 am in the Fountain Green 2nd Chapel (151 South 200 West). Interment will be at the Fountain Green Cemetery.
