Joe Chambers, 45, of Sarah, MS died Thursday, November 27, 2003 at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Mr. Chambers was a retired carpenter. Services were Saturday, November 29 at C.O. Pate Funeral Home in Senatobia, MS with interment in the Latter Day Saints Cemetery in Sarah, MS. Pallbearers were Jeff Collums, Morris Melton, Chris Collums, Brian Melton, Bud Houston, Mark Burns, Barry Welch, and Eddie Chambers. Buddy Bruckner officiated.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Kathryn Chambers and his ex-wife, Joy Lynn Burns Chambers Rainey. He is survived by three daughters, Shanna Chambers, Jennifer Chambers, and Sydney Chambers, all of Senatobia, MS; his parents, Calvin and Rose Chambers of Sarah, MS; a sister, Pam King of Sarah, MS; a brother, David Chambers of Sarah, MS; and two grandchildren, Isaiah Chambers and Destinee Harrell.
NOTE: Joe's current wife, Stephanie Kathryn Chambers and his ex-wife (who was the mother of his children), Joy Lynn Burns Chambers Rainey were killed together in an automobile accident in Sarah, MS, eight months before Joe died. Joe was also paralyzed from an accident many years before.
