Nellie DeMoss Robinson was born on Decmber 19, 1932 in Marion County, Iowa the daughter of Charles Carl and Arlene Cowman DeMoss.
Nellie attended country school in Marion County, the Monroe Community Schools and graduated from Knoxville High School in the class of 1951.
On December 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to Charles Gilbert Cook and to this union two children were born, Michael, of Chicago, and Julie, of Knoxville.
On New Years Eve, 1981, she married Wendell Robinson at the First Christian Church in Knoxville.
Nellie was employed at the Community National Bank for 19 years and for the George A. Hormel Company for 12 years until the onset of her illness.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
She is survived by her husband Wendell; her children, Michael Cook, of Chicago, Illinois, and Julie Cook, of Knoxville; step children, Michael Robinson and wife Chris, of Houston, Texas, and Kathy Schutte and husband Steve, of Muncie, Indiana; and three loving grandchildren, Elizabeth and Tyler Wright and Christopher Schutte all of Muncie, Indiana; one brother, Charles DeMoss of Grand Island, Nebraska; three sisters, Martha Hulgan of Des Moines, Charlene Thompson of Knoxville, and Jo Ann Malone of Long Beach, California. A host of friends and other relatives also survive.
Nellie attended the First United Methodiast Church in Knoxville. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Nellie loved her home, family and especially family reunions and parties. She was a lover of good country music and dancing. Most of all she believed in and loved the Lord Jesus Christ."
