WILLIAM PARKER DEAD
William Parker, a well known and highly respected citizen of Galena passed away at his home on West Seventh street at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, the cause of his death being pneumonia fever. Deceased was one of the pioneer citizens of Galena and was 55 years of age. He leaves a wife, two children and almost a countless number of friends, who will mourn his departure. The funeral services were held from the family residence at 2:30 o'clock today and burial was made in the city cemetery.

William Parker and Sarah Beaston, his wife, had 3 known children together: Margaret Jane, Sarah Serena, and William Franklin. William Franklin Parker married Mary Murray Wallace in 1917. She had first been married to William Wallace, but the marriage did not last. William Wallace and Mary had daughters Maud and Margaret/Marie.
