son of John Jackson & Nancy Woods Boyd
husband of Julia Mulkey
KY Will dated 12 Aug 1889
There were 2 Bart Boyd's around this time. The first, the older and the one this memorial is for, Barton was born in 1852 to John Jackson & Nancy Woods. Later he married Julia Mulkey. The other was the son of John S. Boyd & Margaret Church Boyd, born January 1865. According to this Barton's (born 1865) granddaughter Mae Meade Delong, Barton ran with the Jessie James gang. His name was Black Bart. This was recorded in a letter found on ancestry.com.
**I, Kim Akers, researched the Mulkey & Boyd family. My grandmother, Elizabeth Ellen Mulkey Spears and her mother, Victoria Smith Mulkey, as well as other family members, provided confirmation of my ancestry.com research.
Contribution & thanks to fellow researcher Karen Olson Ammon. She documented the cemetery.
