Friends and relatives grieved the death of Mrs. Ellen Louise Herron, 85, of 201 21st street, who passed away yesterday at her home. Born in Canada, Mrs. Herron had been a resident of Merced for the past 45 years and had lived in California for the last 75 years. A charter member of the Corine Circle No. 230, Neighbors of Woodcraft, Mrs. Herron received the 35 year pin last year. Surviving are Morgan E. Herron, a son, Merced; a daughter Mrs. Florence Gallison, and the late Mabel Cook, Merced; sister Mrs. Florence Adams, Merced; grandchildren Morgan Cook, Merced; Glen Cook, Merced, and Mrs. Nelda Johnson, Texas; great-grandchildren, Robert and Guy Johnson, Texas; nephews, Charlie Adams of Hornitos; Arthur Adams, Merced; Arthur Giles, Hornitos and Louis Adams of Palo Alto; Nieves, Mrs. Edda Sell of Hornitos; Mrs. Amy Williams of Richmond, and Mrs. Marjorie Morrison of Korbel, Calif. Funeral services have been set for tomorrows at 2 p.m. in the Ivers and Alcorn Mission chapel with Rev. Andrew Scott confiscating. Entombment will be in the Masonic cemetery.
