"John Jefferson Park III, 88, passed away on Wed., March 14, 2001 at Sherman West Court, Elgin.
He was born Nov. 23, 1912, the son of John J. and Flossie Park in Vermilion County, Ill.
He worked for many years at C & EI Railroad.
Survivors include his children, Linda (Frank) Elliott of Rome, N.Y., John J. IV (Linda) Park of Hampshire, Sandra Park of Dumfries, Va., Robert L. (Susan) Park of Westville, Ill., Ronald J. (Linda) Park of Danville, Ill., Sharon (Nicholas) Islam of Lutz, Fla., Paul (Melissa) Park of Poplar Grove; 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lavina; a daughter, Nancy E.; a son, Joseph; a brother; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on March 17, 2001 at Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, Ind."
