Mrs. Ida Gladys Thomas, age 80 of Lassie Lane, Young Harris, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 28, 2021 in the Union County Nursing Home. Gladys was born on May 22, 1940 in Blairsville, GA., daughter of the late Olen Foster & Ethel Tilson. Gladys loved talking & socializing with people, especially when at Thomas Tire. She dearly loved her church & church family at Mt. Olivet, but most of all she loved her Lord. She was a loving & caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. In her free-time she did a lot of embroidery & quilting over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Norman Guy Thomas, and two brothers; Leonard & Frank Foster.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at 11:00am from the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
