Marilyn A. Long, age 82, of Wilton, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Marilyn has been cremated and her ashes entrusted to her family. There will be no visitation or funeral services.

Marilyn Ann Proctor was born September 13, 1938, in Muscatine, the daughter of Frank and Elda (Camp) Proctor. She graduated from Wilton High School with the Class of 1956. She married Donald Lee Long on June 2, 1956, in Wilton. Donald preceded her in death on March 28, 2013. She was employed as a custodian for the Wilton Schools for over thirty years. She later worked at the Wilton Nursing Home for five years. She enjoyed painting ceramics and sewing. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Melanie Frey LaPoint, Maurita Goodrich and Miracle Zaehringer, all of Wilton; one son, Monty (Nancy) Long of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Jessica (Troy) Levad, Nathon (Ashley Brown) Goodrich, Kristin (Traven Howard) McKittrick, Lisa (Trevor) Plett, Isaiah (Kayla) Long and Jordan (Alicia Bontrager) Long; numerous great-grandchildren; four sisters, Carolyn (Jerry) Waack of New Boston, IL, Donna Buck of Atalissa, Shirlee Reimers of Lost Nation and Lorraine Kenney of Burt; one brother, Elwood (Ethel) Proctor of Moscow; and one sister-in-law, Julia Proctor of Moscow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons-in-law, Jim Frey and Everett Goodrich, Jr., two sisters, Margaret Proctor and Connie Proctor, three brothers, Harold, Robert and James Proctor and three brothers-in-law, Ernie Buck, Dennis Reimers, Sr., and Bud Kenney.
