Patricia Rose “Smith” Wagner of Phelps, KY Passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. She was born December 23, 1936 in Feds Creek, KY the daughter of the late Sidney and Elizabeth “Boyd” Smith. She was 84 years old.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Kennie Wagner, brother: John Sidney Smith, sisters: Elizabeth Sue Prietto, (Nicholas), Della Mae Baker, Pauline Stump, Francis Jean Michaliszyn, Anna Marie Chapman (Otto), and Jacqueline Smith, grandchildren: Joey Casey, David “Bub” Thomas and April Daugherty, a son-in-law: Tony Milisitz.

Patty was an exceptional home maker and wife to Kennie for 65 years. She was mom to three daughters and many grand-children and great-grandchildren. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was always happy to offer hospitality to everyone, not out of obligation, but simply because of the person she was. Patty had a special ability to love on kids and make them feel so special and proud, no matter if they were hers or not. She will be remembered for her gift of making people laugh and smile, even if she looked a little goofy herself, she wanted to make others happy. Patty Rose lived an upright and respectable life that inspired all who knew her. She attended Peter Creek Primitive Baptist church. In her spare time, she was a talented quilter and enjoyed reading and coloring. She was the rock of her family and will be terribly missed.

Survivors remaining to honor her memory include her daughters: Debra Kay Hall of Phelps, KY, Jennifer Lynn Milisitz also of Phelps, KY, and Susan Jane Click (Rodney) of Hindman, KY, brothers: Robert L. Smith (Lucy) of Richlands, VA, and Johnny Smith (Carolyn) of St. Louis, MO, sisters: Audrey June Smith (Tom) of Phelps, KY, Virginia Lee Hawkins (Ed) of Elkhorn City, KY, and Billie Jane Hatfield (Roy) also of Phelps, KY, grandchildren: Rachel Cantrell, Nikki Church (Brandon), Kendra Yates (Cody), and Kandy Thomas. She is also survived by a host of great grandchildren and many special friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY, Monday, March 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Elders Jimmy Lee Smith, Mike Smith, and Steve Kender officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ballard Smith Cemetery of Smith Fork, Phelps, KY.
