TERESA LAURA BURKE
AGE 84 YEARS

Teresa Laura (Guilfoyle) "Wub" Of Everett and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021. Wub was predeceased by her loving parents Thomas James Guilfoyle and Teresa Laura (Lyon) Guilfoyle. She was a true sister to Joseph Butera of Centerville and loving companion of Lt. Col. Bill "Red" of North Reading. Wub was the loving mother of Jeffrey Burke of Pittsford, NY, Brian Burke of Chelmsford, Paula McDermott of Westford, and their spouses and Neil Burke of Melrose. And she had four much-loved grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Wub, was a miracle baby born a few months after her parents were in a horrific car accident. She graduated from Barre High in 1954 where she was described as the "class glamour girl" in the senior yearbook, and later went on to attend Butera School of Art in Boston. Tall and blonde with steel blue eyes, she definitely had an eye-catching presence and colorful personality. Wub would always look you directly in the eye, and was equally direct in conversation. If she had an opinion she had no problem sharing her thoughts. She enjoyed going out to lunch. She was an avid reader always looking to give away the seemingly countless books she enjoyed. In later years, she especially enjoyed spending time at her winter retreat in Naples as well as fall trips to San Francisco with Red. She shouldered the burden of raising four children who will never, ever forget her sacrifices and loving support. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family while she makes her planned walk through a field of daisies.

Funeral services will be private with burial alongside family at St Joseph's cemetery in Barre, MA.
