David was born September 20th, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Texas on New Year's 1972. Most recently he lived in Saginaw.
David met Diane Gayle Mulanax in 1974. They dated two weeks before he asked Diane to marry him. They were married on May 31, 1975 and remained married for 45 years.
He worked for American Manufacturing Company, a steel mill for 17 years; worked for Tarrant County College Northwest Campus for 23 years. David retired in 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Gayle Blankenship; son, Matthew Richard Blankenship and wife, Jennifer Blankenship; daughter, Sarah Kay Blankenship; son, Patrick Daniel Blankenship; grandsons, Christopher Richard Blankenship and Aaron Matthew Blankenship; granddaughter, Katelin Blankenship; brother, Kenneth Blankenship; as well as a host of friends, family, church family, and loved ones.
David was a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God, 420 S. Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131.
