Barbara Jo Caldwell Foster, 69, of Pearland, TX, made her life transition on February 19, 2021. She was born April 28, 1951 in Granger, Texas, the 7th child of Ira Caldwell and Louise Warner. She received her bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University.

She was married to the late William "Bill" Foster. In August 1986, she began her teaching career at Jack Yates High School. In late 2000, she came out of retirement, and returned to teaching South Early College High School until September 2019.

She is survived by three daughters, Tesha Yvonna Foster, Jennifer Devon Foster, and Allison Foster.

A walk thru viewing will be 4pm-7pm on Wednesday, March 3rd at Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church (South West Campus 154919 S Main Street) Houston, TX. The Celebration of her life Service (can be viewed at https://livestream.com/accounts/7325565/barbarafoster) will be 10am Thursday March 4th at Greater St. Matthew B.C. Burial will follow at 2pm in Houston National Cemetery.
