Mrs. Alice Bates

Winchester, April 21. --- Mrs. Alice Bates, 80, died at 4 p.m. today at her home in this city where she has spent her entire life. She was the widow of John Bates.
Survivors are as follows: Son, George of Chicago; daughter, Hattie Ulery of Winchester; stepson, Henry of Winchester. One son, Jack, and one daughter, Hazel, preceded her in death.
Decedent was a member of Winchester Methodist church. The body was taken to Danner funeral home where services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. R. L. Schwab will be assisted by Rev. J. A. Chapman. Interment will be in Winchester cemetery.

Winchester, April 24. --- Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Bates, who died Wednesday, were held here yesterday. Rev. J. A. Chapman, pastor of the M. E. church, and Rev. R. L. Schwab, pastor of the Christian church, were in charge of the services. Interment was in the Winchester cemetery.
