Keith Wayne Bailey, 82, of Benbrook, Texas, passed away on February 15, 2021 after a brief illness.
Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenwood Chapel.
Keith is a Vietnam veteran and served honorably in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1976 after 20 years of service, obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant. While in the Air Force he obtained an Associates Degree. His experience in the Air Force led him to his second career at Lockheed Martin (formerly General Dynamics) in Fort Worth, TX, where he retired after 22 years, working on the F-16 project.
Keith was a Master Mason, Shriner, Elk and served several terms on the Benbrook City Council, as well as the Benbrook Planning and Zoning board and as president of the Castleberry Band Boosters. Keith was awarded an honorary position as Admiral of the Texas Navy. He also helped many veterans navigate the Veterans Administration to receive benefits they deserved.
He is preceded in death by brother, Roger Tenney; and Mother, Norma Bailey Tenney.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 61 years, June; two children, Louise Costello and Karl Bailey; daughter-in-law, Elissa Bailey; four grandchildren, Scott Willingham, Jennifer Murphy, Ryan Costello of Columbus, Ohio, and Abigail Bailey of Forney, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Willingham of Ohio, Reagan Willingham of Ohio, Brynna Murphy of Ohio and Thomas Murphy of Ohio; and one great-great grandchild, River Lackey of Ohio; sisters, Marilyn Wescott of Edmund, Oklahoma, and Sharon Redhead of Akron, Ohio; and brother, Vernon Tenney of Norton.
