Judith Ann (Beniach) Cox of Little Elm, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 20, 2021 at Sandy Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Coppell, Texas, where she had been a resident for five years. Judy was born on September 7, 1943 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew Joseph Beniach and Roberta Ellen (Pottinger) Beniach of Virden, IL. Judy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden.
On January 26, 1963 after marrying her high school sweetheart, John Earl (Jack) Cox they both moved to Peoria, IL, where Jack was enrolled in the Engineering school at Bradley University. After graduation, Judy and Jack moved to Omaha, NE., where Judy became a prize-winning sales associate with Omaha Steaks International. Judy and Jack enjoyed travelling, visiting Jamaica, Hawaii and Italy where they both lived in Naples for three years.
In addition to her husband Jack, Judy is survived by her children: Lisa (Ian) Barker of Little Elm, TX; John (Jodi) Cox of Prosper, TX and Christopher (Sarah) Cox of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren: Brittany Barker, Timothy (Kathy) Cox, Johnathon Cox, Thomas Cox, Amanda Cox, Aaron Cox, Autumn Cox, Melanie Cox, Connor Cox; and four great-grandchildren.
A remembrance service was held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas.
A funeral mass was held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden, followed by interment at Virden Cemetery.
