Ms. Patterson was born on January 18, 1941 in Cherokee County, Alabama to the late Albert Marion Lambert and Ada Elizabeth Eaves Lambert. She had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County for the greater part of her life, and was a member of Coosa Valley Praise and Worship Center. She enjoyed serving as a pianist for several churches throughout the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted, Hardy, and Roscoe Lambert; sisters, Vennie Hobbs, Becky Terry, Colleen Cripps, and Lucy Massey; sons, Tony and Wesley Patterson; son-in-law, John Sturgeon; granddaughters, Brooke Patterson and Lori Ivey.
Ms. Patterson is survived by her daughters Lori Sturgeon, Wendy Jenkins, and Erika Seale; grandchildren, Tonya Warren, Tera (Greg) Jones, Melody Patterson, Amber (Ian) Mulderig, Sierra (Cameron) Hicks, Vicky Cobb, Victoria (Robert) Wilcoxon, Brandon (Stephanie) Patterson, Theresa Schmidt, and Mary Schmidt; 13 great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a very special friend that’s more like a sister, Denise Lawler.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday March 1, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Old Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday.
