Born June 6, 1911, at Shade Creek, Victor, she was the daughter of the late John Howard Alley and Sarah Ofelia Ellis Alley.
Mrs. Dempsey was a homemaker and member of Horseshoe Baptist Church, Victor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Osington Dempsey, on March 4, 1990; and an infant son, Lloyd Eugene Dempsey.
Survivors include four daughters, Evelyn Jane Eastman and her husband, Clarence, of High Springs, Fla., Eva Mae Hanshew of Montgomery, Elizabeth JoAnn Willis of Victor and Carolyn Sue Legg and her husband, Pete, of Victor; five sons, Emory Clay Dempsey and his wife, Patty, of Parma, Ohio, Raleigh Osington Dempsey Jr., and his wife, Charlotte, of Persinger, Ralph Austin Dempsey of Obetz, Ohio, Ray Oliver Dempsey and his wife, Kathy, of Ansted and Clarence Otho Dempsey and his wife, Christine, of Victor.; a sister, Eva Mae White of Chesapeake; 29 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Ansted, with the Rev. Paul Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery, Ramsey.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
