Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Gertrude A. (Egan) Sutton, she lived in Warwick since 1978.
Mrs. Riley was employed by New England Telephone & Telegraph Company in Providence for 37 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen W. Castle (Richard) of Taunton, MA; a brother, John J. Sutton (Joanne) of Jackson, NH; three step-daughters, Elizabeth R. Gally of Sherwood, OR, Ellen R. McHugh (Thomas) of Cumberland, and Virginia R. Chianese (Frank) of Seekonk, MA; six step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Katherine Tuohy.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, March 1, in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Visitation was on Monday before the service. (Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.) Burial was 7in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
