Linda B. Graham, age 72, of McHenry, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Linda was born September 7, 1948, the daughter of Joseph and Anita (Berg) Graham and stepmother, Harriett (Morris) Graham. For over 30 years, she worked as a receptionist in Dr. Albanese's office and really enjoyed her relationships with the patients.

Linda's father was in the army so she grew up in Illinois and Germany but graduated from Manzano High School in Albuquerque, NM. She loved the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque and would have loved to live there again but didn't want to be away from her family. She was a devoted Christian who prayed for her loved ones daily and put all worries into God's hands. She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her daughters and grandchildren with her whole being. Linda was very nurturing, with a generous heart, who would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed making people feel loved and special and doing what she could to express that.

Her favorite flower was the daisy and she enjoyed reading, playing games on her tablet, talking on the phone with family and friends, attending her grandchildren's special events, sports games, concerts and dance recitals, going to the movies, having lunch/dinners with family or friends, holidays with family, painting classes with her daughters, and watching the tv shows: Friends, Golden Girls, HGTV and true crime shows. Her family laughs as they recall her being addicted to Coke ONLY from the McHenry McDonald's on 120 in her younger years and loving her dark meat fried chicken from "The Jewel" in her recent years. Linda enjoyed going for rides during the Holiday Season looking at all the Christmas lights with her family and in her younger days, Linda enjoyed bowling, gardening, Bingo, sewing, shopping, the TV Guide crossword puzzle, watching her daughters dance recitals and choir concerts, her dog Shadow, being crafty and making special things like little individual felt Christmas stockings for all the kids in her daughters' classes, talking on the phone with friends and playing board and card games with her daughters on many late nights.

Linda was loved and will be sorely missed by her daughters: Julie (Chris) Chapman and Jodi (Nicki) Johnson; grandchildren: Kyle, Brennon, Shane, Evan, Ben, Andrew, and Leah; brother, Joseph Graham; and niece & nephew: Mary and Michael. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anita Graham and her stepmother, Harriett Graham.

A Memorial Visitation for Linda will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 4-7 P.M., at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 P.M., in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider a donation to Race to Erase MS, or any MS non-profit organization.

In following with the CDC Covid 19 recommendations and the Illinois mandates, 50 people will be allowed within the funeral home facilities at a single time and all attendees must wear a face mask or covering while in the funeral home.
