Funeral Mass for Jorge Zapata Garcia will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 2021 in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, Pastor officiating.

Jorge Zapata Garcia died Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 64.

He was born in Mexico City and grew up in San Mateo, Texcalyacac. In March 1997, he moved to Amarillo, TX. He and his wife (Juana) moved to Lawton, OK, in 2010. Jorge and his wife worked and enjoyed every moment of their life together. Jorge was a hardworking man, dedicated to everything he did, responsible for his children and his wife. Attentive to all the people around him.

The Christmas season was always his favorite time of the year. Jorge enjoyed decorating his house with many decorations and two Christmas trees, one for his wife and one for him. Jorge loved to listen to Mariachi music. The Beatles was his favorite group. He always wanted to return to his town of Texcalyacac to spend the festivities with his family.

Jorge was very responsible and loving to his wife. He loved his wife and enjoyed every afternoon after work accompanying the love of his life, his wife.

Jorge loved and cared for his family with all his heart. He was compassionate and cared for everyone. Jorge was the most wonderful and exemplary father, husband, and son. He loved and enjoyed every moment with his family.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, Jorge Zapata Silva and wife Carlota of Texcalyacac, Mexico and Neftali Zapata Silva, Lawton, Oklahoma; a daughter, Lucy Martin and husband William, Lawton, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Frida Zapata Valdez and Jorge Zapata Valdez; three brothers, Guillermo Zapata Garcia and wife Margarita, Salvador Zapata Garcia and wife Cecilia and Isaac Zapata Garcia and wife Fanni, al of Mexico; his sister, Veronica Zapata Garcia and husband Aron, Mexico; and other cousins, nieces and nephews.

His parents preceded him in death.
