"CARTHAGE -- Funeral services for Mabel Bird, 85, of Gary will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Mount Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. L. W. Humber officiating. Miss Bird died Sunday at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Carthage.
A retired operator for the Gary Telephone Co., Miss Bird was a member of the Eastern Star, the Homemakers Club and the First Baptist Church of Gary.
