Victor Leon Henry II age 70 of Chrisman, IL passed away February 21st, 2021 at OSF Heart of Mary Rehab Hospital in Urbana, IL from complications of Covid-19.

Vic was born in Paris, IL February 22, 1950 to Victor L. Henry and Beverly Jean Riggs Henry.

He was a lifelong Edgar County, IL resident. Vic was retired after helping his brother Tom farm for many years. He was a highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran having served in the Army 9th Infantry Division, Charlie Company in the Mekong Delta. He was a proud member of the Chrisman American Legion Post 477. In his younger years Vic loved to travel especially to Australia and Hawaii. Vic was full of mischief starting at 3 years old when he climbed the windmill at his home in Garland. At 4 years he decided it was a great idea to paint himself along with his brother with red barn paint! Another time he carried a live skunk into his great grandmother's kitchen. These shenanigans did not usually work out well for him!
Vic could make people smile and laugh without any effort and that is why he had friends everywhere. Years ago, while attending the IL State Fair to support his great niece Caisey showing her pigs, he almost bought a pig at the auction by merely waiving his hand at a friend.
Vic was a compassionate and giving soul. When he was in Vietnam, he sent money home to his mother so that she could buy a new dress to wear to her aunt's funeral.

Vic is survived by his brothers Tom Henry (Sherrie) of Palm Coast, FL; Dennis Henry (Angie) of Los Angeles, CA; Roy Henry of Paris, IL; niece Tiffany Henry Bettis (Mike) of South Fulton TN; nephew Austin Henry of Charlotte, NC; and great-niece Caisey DeOrnellis of Mt. Zion IL; and a special family friend Bill Moore, of Chrisman, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant nephew.
