Daniel D. Hughes, age 71, of Lake Grove, New York passed away on February 25, 2021. Daniel was born June 30, 1949 in Queens, New York to the late William and Catherine Hughes.
Danny loved his family, a good party and baseball. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by his loving wife Susan M. Hughes (née Clark), son Dan Hughes (Lori), his grandchildren Evan and Peyton, sister RoxAnn Bates (Tommy) and his late brother William Hughes (Nanci). Nieces Nicole Baker (Josh) and Kimberly Hughes, nephew Brandon Hughes and grandnephew Dalton. Also survived by his cherished extended family of 4 Godchildren, 7 nieces and their spouses, 5 nephews and their spouses, 8 grandnieces and 7 grandnephews. Dear brother-in-law of Sister Jeanne Clark, Kathleen McLean, Renee Clark and the late Rosemary Smith and Bernard Clark.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720. Funeral mass Monday, March 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 33 Crown Acres Road, Centereach, NY 11720. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933.
