Courtney G. Phillips
Courtney Phillips passed away on Thursday morning February 25 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick. He was 76 years old.
Mr. Phillips was born in Kingston Jamaica. He was educated there and moved to New Jersey in 1970. He lived in Orange and Iselin before moving to North Brunswick before moving to Somerset in 2015.
He graduated from Rutgers University with an MBA in finance and had a private accounting practice for many years. He enjoyed a good game of chess, fine dining and staying current with world events. He was very handy and known to fix anything around the house. He remodeled most of the basement in his North Brunswick home by himself.
Mr. Phillips was pre deceased by his wife Barbara in 2016. He was also pre deceased by his brother Michael Phillips, his mother Rubina Phillips, and father George Phillips.
He is survived by his daughter Anika Phillips, son Christopher Phillips and his wife Rachel, partner Manuela Perez, brother Anthony Phillips and his wife Claudette, sister Marva Phillips, and sister Novlette Phillips.
Visiting will be held on Monday evening March 1, 2021 from 5-8 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. A funeral service will begin on Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will also be available virtually via Zoom. Please arrive by 9:45 AM. Comital services will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
