Mr. Martin was raised in Jerusalem Baptist Church in Bishopville. He attended Dennis High School in Bishopville and was later employed at Hoyt Heating and Air-Conditioning Company in Sumter. He met the love of his life, Eartha Lee Shaw in high school and they married on January 14, 1973. To this loving union four children were born. In his leisure time, he liked sitting on his porch and in his truck just enjoying the sunlight. He also loved working in his garden, doing yardwork and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eartha Lee Shaw Martin and a son, Harry Martin, Jr.
Those left to cherish precious memories are his children, Bernard Lamar Martin and his wife Cassandra Wilson, Melissa Michelle Martin and Jeffrey Latroy (Creshondra) Martin all of Dazell, SC; 5 grandchildren 1, great-grandchild, Kamya Martin; brother, Frierson Martin; sisters, Mary Martin Price and her husband, Willie Price, Sr. and Deloris Smith and her husband, James Smith, and a host of other relatives and friends.
